This outer cable replaces the coil wire, typically produced in iron, with stainless steel. It features strong rust resistance and a transparent coating finish. It also includes an inner liner, making the brake lever pull lighter. Enjoy easy dress-up and spec upgrades. Stainless outer cables are available for brakes and shifting. Both types include an inner liner for a lighter lever feel. The shifting cable has an outer diameter of 4mm and accommodates 1.2mm inner wires. Unlike standard solid-wire shift cables (straight, parallel strands), the shifting cable uses a spring-like (coiled) construction. Therefore, there is a slight possibility of stroke loss occurring between the inner wire and the outer wire during use.
