Stainless Outer Cable (with Liner) Flat Wire Type Outer Casing (Stainless Steel) Product Description
This cable replaces the coil wire of the outer cable, typically produced in iron, with stainless steel. It features strong rust resistance and a clear-colored coating finish. An inner liner is also included, making the brake lever pull lighter. You can easily enjoy both dressing up and spec upgrades. Stainless steel outer cables are available for brakes and shifting. Both include an inner liner, resulting in a lighter lever feel. The shifting type has an outer diameter of 4mm and can use 1.2mm inner wire. Unlike standard condensed-type shift cables (where bare wires run straight vertically), shift cables have a spring-like (coiled) construction. This may cause slight stroke loss between the inner and outer wires during use. While we've minimized this, please be aware when using 10-speed to 11-speed systems.
