SA22C Savanna RX-7 24 Hours of Daytona 1979 The Savanna RX-7 (SA22C) debuted in March 1978. Its striking style featuring retractable headlights garnered popularity, while its packaging fully leveraged the rotary engine's compact, lightweight characteristics. With a low center of gravity enhancing handling, it was a thoroughly well-thought-out sports car design.
