Reproduces the cars undergoing renewal work that began in 2004.\
The 5-car set recreates the L4 formation, while the 3-car set recreates the S5 formation. \
Features include the distinctive non-passageway end design with its curved surfaces conveying speed, and the pantograph control unit on the roof.\
Head/tail lights illuminate on each end car. The passageway-type end cars (8400/8200 series) feature an illumination switch. \
All cars feature body-mounted close-coupling couplers without hooks. The non-passageway leading car has a dummy coupler.\
Includes coupling couplers + skirts for the 8400/8200 series.\
Power cars in the 5-car and 8-car sets have traction tires; the 3-car set omits traction tires to facilitate coupled operation. \
Smooth and quiet running is achieved using slotless motors.\
Equipped with KATO's unique body sway mechanism, which reproduces the inward body tilt when passing curves, just like the real vehicle.\
Destination display stickers are included.\
