Product Introduction
The 2000 Series 6-car set (unpainted kit) is now available, recreating the current appearance with the new symbol mark.
The 2000 Series entered service in 1997 to replace the 600, 700, and 800 Series.
Four 6-car sets, totaling 24 cars, are currently in service alongside the 1000 and 10000 Series.
It adopted VVVF inverter control, replacing the previous resistance control, and featured two trailing cars within the formation for the first time. The exterior changed from single-leaf doors to double-leaf doors, and in 1997, it was selected as a Good Design Award winner. At its debut, it featured a white base with red and blue color patterns, but in recent years, it has been repainted in a new scheme inspired by “green/sky/water” and is now in service. This is a display model. Major assemblies use a press-fit system requiring no adhesive. This is an unpainted kit requiring painting. The product features a 6-car formation, replicating the full formation of the actual train in one package. Compared to previous 1000 series products, it maintains exterior accuracy in details like bogies and seats while reducing the number of parts for easier assembly. The body is a single box-shaped part made using a slide mold. Side window frames are represented by raised molding on the transparent window parts.
Included decals are for unpainted kits only, enabling paint changes and reproduction of current logo mark formations. Decals include both old and new symbol marks, allowing construction of both the current appearance and the pre-2018 version. Focused on colored door sections and roof bands. The specification allows reproduction using either paint or decals.
Detailed markings are included on stickers.
Train type indicators and cab window sunshades are realistically represented by applying included stickers from the inside.
Weak air conditioning markings are included on stickers. Weak air conditioning car markings are included for two cars, allowing reproduction of the previous two-car formation.
Front lights are easily reproduced by applying stickers to the headlight/tail light sections inside the lens covers.
Service indicators can be selected from three types: “Local,” “Section Rapid,” and “Airport Rapid.”
