The next-generation energy-saving “209 Series Commuter Train,” representative of the 1990s in the Tokyo suburbs, has been plastic-modeled in PLUM's new initiative and new project kit series, ‘Plakit-Extra’. Plakit-Extra is a series designed around the concept of ‘simplified painting, reduced assembly, and easy motor installation’ for greater user accessibility, while maintaining the impressive scale and quality of 1/80 scale. One characteristic of stainless steel rolling stock, the ‘line color’ separation, is achieved using separate parts for the colored sections, ensuring an authentic appearance without painting. \
Furthermore, the sash windows, modified to be openable, are reproduced using two-color molded parts (the pre-modification state can also be recreated).\
The PS28 pantograph mounted on the Moha 209 features a movable up/down mechanism, and the roof piping is also represented as a separate part. \
The underframe equipment of the Keihin-Tohoku color intermediate car reproduces the unmodified appearance.\
The bogies feature corrugated wheels for an impressive display appearance. Using Tenshodo running gear parts allows operation as a 16mm gauge (HO gauge) model. \
Decals for destination signs and more are included. This production run also includes seat parts as a bonus.\
The (Keihin-Tohoku color) intermediate car set contains the sky blue banded Moha 209 and Moha 208. Enjoy combining them with the separately sold head car set.\
