We present the “Aircraft Battleship Hyūga,” which fought valiantly in the desperate escort of the decoy carrier force during the Combined Fleet's final decisive battle, Operation Shō-1.\\ n\
The first-ever 1/350 scale model of the “Hyūga”.\
We recreate its distinct form, differing from the lead ship “Ise,” using new molds.\
The aircraft battleship Hyūga was the second ship of the “Ise-class,” built following the pioneering modern battleships of the “Fusō-class.” She was constructed at Mitsubishi Nagasaki Shipyard in 1918. \
By the start of the Pacific War, she had undergone one refit. To compensate for the turret explosion accident in 1942 and the loss of airpower at the Battle of Midway,\
she was modified alongside Ise during repairs. The 5th and 6th turrets were removed, and an aircraft deck enabling carrier-based aircraft operations was installed. During Operation Shō-1, the final decisive battle between Japan and the United States, she escorted the mobile strike force centered on the Zuikaku. She subsequently met her end in July 1945 when she was severely damaged and grounded during an air raid outside Kure Harbor. Unlike the standard 1/700 scale for ship models, this is a large-scale model, faithfully reproducing detailed features. □The product centers on a left-right split hull section, allowing completion as a full-hull type.\
□(Windshield) The large windshield on the combat bridge is reproduced using a dedicated part from a new mold.\
□(Main Gun Fire Control Station) The shape near the topmost section of the bridge differs from the Ise, and is reproduced using a new separate part.\
□(Lookout Station) The lookout station in the central bridge section differs in shape and height from the Ise, so it was reproduced using a new separate part.\
□(Near Rocket Launcher) The sponson mounting the rocket launcher has a longer shape extending further aft than the Ise's, while the support pillars below have a significantly different shape; both were reproduced using separate parts. \
The truss structure beneath the rocket launcher's base is depicted.\
□(Carrier Racks) Dedicated parts for the racks used to store Comet aircraft for operations and embarkation on the flight deck were newly developed and are included with the product.\
□(Main Turret Canopies) The canopy armor plates, a distinguishing feature from the Ise, are newly molded as a dedicated 4-piece set.\
□(Upper Lookout Deck) The sponson shape near the triple machine gun mounts differs from the Ise, so it is a new separate part.\
□(Funnel Side Machine Gun Platform) (Aft Bridge Machine Gun Platform) The triple machine gun platforms on the funnel sides and aft bridge have a different shape from the Ise, so they are new separate parts.\
□(Rear Mast) The shape difference in the rear mast and cross tree, a distinguishing feature from Ise, is reproduced using new separate parts.\
□(Aircraft) Following Hyūga becoming the carrier for the Suisei in May 1944, the Type 11/12 modified aircraft are reproduced using new molds.\
Five aircraft are included. \
