Product Description
Reproduces the complex and intricate bridge of the Fuso at 1/350 scale.
This product is an unpainted kit requiring assembly with glue and painting.
The battleship Fusō was built as Japan's first dreadnought-class battleship. After undergoing several performance upgrades and modifications, it entered the Pacific War era. It was deployed to counter the US military's invasion of the Philippines in October 1944 (Showa 19) and was sunk in combat.
Fusō's bridge was particularly famous for its unstable appearance after modernization, featuring a distinctive shape with multiple bridge levels stacked atop a tripod structure.
This product utilizes the molds from the existing 1/350 scale Battleship Fusō kit.
The product is themed around the Battle of Leyte Gulf in October 1944.
The main bridge parts are molded in gray, simulating the Kure Naval Arsenal color. Clear molded parts are provided for the bridge windows and searchlights. A display base and ship name decal are included.
Reproduces the area from the upper main deck to the rangefinder/Type 21 radar. Assembly style mirrors the actual structure, layering the tripod framework and decks.
The shelter deck features finely sculpted wood grain detailing.
The Type 89 12.7cm twin high-angle guns on the shelter deck feature a 6-part construction, showcasing the intricate detailing only possible at 1/350 scale.
The 25mm single-mount machine guns, characteristic of the final configuration, are provided as a 2-piece assembly (gun and mount).
Windows for the Compass Bridge, Lower Lookout, Combat Bridge, and Main Target Station are reproduced with clear parts.
