From G-SHOCK, which continues to evolve in pursuit of toughness, comes the new “G-STEEL” featuring a “Layer Guard Structure”. By using different materials for the bezel section and creating a two-layer structure, a new shock-resistant construction is achieved. When metal (stainless steel) is used on the upper bezel, a resin buffer is placed underneath. Conversely, when resin is used on the upper bezel, a fine resin is combined underneath. This newly developed shock-resistant structure cushions impacts from above, expanding design possibilities. The lineup features two series: the GST-W100, expressing toughness through resin texture, and the GST-W110, expressing the hardness and beauty of metal. Each series also features resin bands. Equipped with Multi-Band 6 for reception from six stations worldwide and Tough Solar. Features include a needle retract function that temporarily moves the hour and minute hands from their current position with one push to allow clear reading of the LCD display, and a double LED light for bright illumination of the dial.
