Pit Road 1/700 Skywave Series Imperial Japanese Navy Uraku-class Coastal Defense Ship 2-Ship Set Plastic Model W257
The Uraku-class coastal defense ships were designed to reduce labor hours and shorten construction time compared to the preceding Mikura-class ships. Twenty vessels were built between June 1944 and March 1945 as escort ships.
In addition to increased anti-aircraft machine guns, their anti-submarine capabilities were enhanced with sixteen Type 3 depth charge projectors on both sides and a stern-mounted launch track. Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Tamano (5 ships), and Sasebo Naval Arsenal (4 ships). Seven variations can be built by selecting the specifications and armament differences (conventional/new turrets, anti-aircraft machine guns) from these four different shipyards. ・Finished size: Length 112.7mm ・Contains 2 ships ※The image shows the assembled and painted product.
