Featuring the 1998 (Heisei 10) fleet of 88 vessels, when the general-purpose destroyers comprised the Hatsuyuki-class and Asagiri-class.
Newly molded Hatsuyuki-class “Tachikaze-class” and “Shirane-class” feature new molds. The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's Escort Group is a fleet of eight escort vessels operating under the Self-Defense Fleet or Escort Fleet. They are stationed at four locations: Yokosuka, Sasebo, Maizuru, and Kure. Each Escort Group consists of two Escort Squadrons, each with four vessels. The 2nd Escort Group is stationed in Kure and Sasebo. Its history dates back to its formation in 1954 (Showa 29), continuing to the present day. Prior to 2008, particularly the period from the late 1990s onward (the setting for this product), marked the transition to new gas turbine-powered vessels for both DD and DDG classes.
