Micro Ace “1/72 Scale World War II Aircraft Series Imperial Japanese Army Fighter Nakajima Ki-43-II Type 1 Hayabusa II Otsu” plastic model.
After 5 prototypes and 3 additional prototypes were built, it was officially adopted in June 1942. It was a performance-enhanced model with a Type 101 1150 horsepower engine (Ha 115) installed, a 2.8m diameter Sumitomo Hamilton hydraulic constant speed three-blade propeller, and the carburetor air intake moved to the upper front of the cowling. The exhaust pipe was changed to a thrust exhaust pipe, and the oil cooler was a honeycomb type mounted on the underside of the cowling from the outset. Armament consisted of two fixed 12.7mm machine guns.
