Description
Yamashita Hobby - Warship Model Series - Special Type Destroyer - 41-44 - NV8U
Product Introduction
Appearing as revolutionary destroyers, the Special Type Destroyers were prototypes and typically formed groups of four ships. Akebono, Ushio, Oboro, and Sazanami comprised the Special Type II A group. Akebono remained active until late in the war in 1944. During Operation A, she underwent modifications to enhance her anti-aircraft capability: the No. 3 gun turret was removed and additional anti-aircraft machine guns were installed.
This kit differs from previous versions by offering parts to recreate Akebono's appearance from 1941 until her loss in 1944.
It includes deck parts with revised torpedo rails and parts featuring the modified bridge base shape.
※This product is a plastic model kit requiring assembly and painting.
※Additional items such as adhesives, tools, and paints are required for assembly and painting. ※“Plastic Model” is a registered trademark owned by the Japan Plastic Model Manufacturers Association.
