This is a 1/700 scale unpainted plastic assembly kit of the “Skywave Series Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Escort Ship DDH-143 Shirane J74” from PIT-ROAD.
The helicopter escort destroyer Shirane entered service in 1980 as the largest escort vessel of its time.
After undergoing modifications in the 2000s, this ship was also succeeded in March 2015 by the Izumo, which became the newest and largest escort vessel.
