Product Introduction
The “Takami” class destroyer is a fourth-generation multi-purpose destroyer built as an improved version of the preceding ‘Murasame’ class. DD-110 “Takami” is the lead ship, commissioned in 2003 and based at Yokosuka. It has participated in overseas deployments to areas such as the Indian Ocean and off the coast of Somalia, and has been deployed to the Middle East since February 2020.
