Pit Road 1/700 Skywave Series Maritime Self-Defense Force Destroyer DDG-170 Sawakaze Plastic Model J105
The Sawakaze entered service in 1983 as the third ship of the JMSDF's second-generation missile destroyer class, the Tachikaze-class.
Equipped with the then-latest integrated missile system, the Tartar D, it could carry Standard Missiles (SM-1MR) and Harpoon anti-ship missiles.
Succeeding the “Tachikaze” as the flagship of the Escort Fleet in 2007, this vessel remained in service until 2010.
