Product Description
This is a plastic model kit of Pit Road's “1/700 Skywave Series Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Aegis Escort Ship DDG-174 Kirishima with New Equipment”.
DDG-174 Kirishima entered service in 1995 as the second ship of the Kongō-class, the MSDF's first Aegis destroyers. It was upgraded for Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) capability in 2010.
It is currently assigned to the 6th Escort Squadron, 2nd Escort Flotilla, based in Yokosuka.
・Includes the new equipment set “NE10: 1/700 Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Ship Equipment Set 1”. Replacing parts for armaments, various antennas, etc., allows for more precise reproduction.
